You’ve heard it a thousand times before — the money is in the list! And it’s true … but only partially true!
I should probably have named this course something other that “list building” because building the list is only part of the equation. The other part of the equation, and one most courses get wrong, is developing a trust relationship with the people on your list.
The key – the secret if you will – is in the relationship you have with the PEOPLE on your list, NOT the raw size of the list itself.
The people on your list must know you, like you and trust you before they will buy. Please read that again, because it’s important. To have a wildly profitable list you must have all three and they must naturally flow in that order.
Once they know you they begin to like you and stay on your list. Once they like you they begin to trust you. And when the people on your list trust you, based on the value you have given them without asking anything in return, they will buy in record numbers when you make specific suggestions.
This is why just buying a list and then blasting away with offers doesn’t work. It is also the reason why some marketers have lists of 80,000 or more but fail to make any real money with their list.
