The Power of Optimize Press

For several years now I have been using one WordPress theme more than any other. That theme is Optimize Press.

I love using Optimize Press! In fact, I have trained my entire staff on how to use it. OP has become our “go to” theme for almost all the things we do.

Here is what we use Optimize Press for as of this writing …

  • My blog (the one you are reading now) and all our niche blogs.
  • Squeeze page services we provide clients, including Squeeze Page Today.
  • Membership sites, including Common Sense List Building, Curation Power and more.
  • Sales letters for our products.
  • Squeeze pages for our own list building, across all niches.
  • And more.

As you can see, we use Optimize Press. So much so that I’m preparing to help others use it to their profit.

Some context for the questions

  1. Optimize Press is a WordPress theme.
  2. It is a paid theme, not a free theme.
  3. If you purchased Optimize Press once you should still have access to download it.
  4. Optimize Press is powerful. It can do many things. Like most powerful tools, there can be challenges to use it.
  5. You do not need to be a programmer, or know programming to use Optimize Press.
  6. I am not selling anything. I am gathering information to see if people need help using Optimize Press.

In that light, please answer the following. You will notice this is an anonymous poll. You will not be joining a list by submitting your opinion.

I just need to know if people need help succeeding online with their blogs, list building and sales sites.

And feel free to leave any questions or comments in the comment area below this post. I will answer every one.

I second everything that Stella S. said about you. I’m a lifetime DOE member and have bought a couple of other of your products. I’ve been like Stella, also, in that I am chasing a dream and trying to stick to it. I can’t afford anything but I do what I can and you have helped me tremendously in spite of I can’t stop long enough to digest all of what you offer. I will not be able to afford your Optimized Press course but I implore you to present it. I bought it at release 1.0. It is so old I’ll have to spend more for an upgrade than I paid for the original. My story is a sad one. I worked very hard on the software and got 95% of my site done and got stuck and could not get unstuck. I agree it is quite wonderful stuff but the support sucks. They give the impression that requiring support is an insult to their ability to build a good product. Great support would make them richer; the kind of support you offer. Thanks, for what you do and God Bless you.

    • Charlie Page says:

Thank you Frank. I’m considering the best way to present the information, if there is enough of a need, and will take your comments seriously.

      I appreciate your business.

  • Paul Kaliher says:

I have heard about the power and flexibility of Optimize Press, but have never used it. I did complete your survey.

For my website and blog I use a free WordPress theme called Boxed Blue. I use a free WYSIWYG HTML design program called Kompozer to make my squeeze pages. I use PhotoShop and my photography or stock photos to create my headers/banners. These tools have served me well to date, but I want to create some more websites and blogs.

Will Optimize Press allow me to do more things, better and faster?

    Thanks for your response.

    • Charlie Page says:

      Hi Paul,

Thank you for taking the survey. The way you did it worked well, and was free. Both are important. Optimize Press does help develop sites faster because you can clone pages. What we do is get a page exactly the way we want it and then use that as a template for all pages. You can see that in our sites, especially the newest ones like Common Sense List Building.

I’ve created sites with a text editor in raw HTML, a WYSIWYG editor like Dreamweaver, services like LeadPages or Kajabi and Optimize Press. Optimize Press is by far my favorite and the most powerful in my view.

  • Stella Maris Spilinga says:

    Hi Charlie,

I wish to tell you that I didn’t answer any of your questions, because being a member of Empower Network, they provided me with an awesome Blog platform, very easy to use and completely customized for their affiliates. In a few dates they are going to release a new Word Press platform blog, which they promised to be even better and easier to use than the previous one.
I’m one of your followers, your emails are among the few emails I use to open as you are constantly given value. I’ve learned a lot from each one of your articles and I’m grateful for receiving all your stuff which is really awesome, just for being a DOE life member. If I wouldn’t be running a serious business, I would have no doubt to work with you.
But for the time being I’m putting all my focus on building my business.

Most of the time I’m tempted to purchase one of your products, but I’ve done so, because for the time being I’m following my mentor’s instructions, therefore it would have no sense for me and for you either, to buy something from you and not put it into practice……I think that your products deserve to be studied and used, taking into account that you have put on each of them your time, hard work, and your passion.

Really I thank you very very much for giving me the opportunity of sharing your knowledge and experience in this industry.

All the best for you and your family.

I appreciate you very much, indeed!!

    Make it a wonderful day.

    Stella Maris Spilinga

    • Charlie Page says:

Thank you Stella. If you never purchase anything I sell but are helped by the information I provide I will have succeeded. Good for you focusing on your business. I wish you only the best!

  • Mark Mansfield says:

Hi Charlie, I’ve a copy of Word Press, does that mean the to have OP I need to buy it as well? Your blogs are easy to read & well set out so OP must be good.

  • Ray Holmes says:

Hi Charlie. Would Optimize Press help me to create a Blog Header like yours with a photograph of myself – I would like people to put a face to the name to develop trust and confidence in my brand name. ?

    • Charlie Page says:

Optimize Press will not help you develop a header. You will need a graphics person for that. But OP does make it easy to use such a graphic and make your blog, or pages, look great.

  • Charlie.
I am looking gor means to make my page visible and sttractive even though the subject is difficult. My technocal skills are limited.

    • Charlie Page says:

It is a difficult subject, but an important one. Optimize Press works well for people with limited technical skills once they learn what to do and can repeat the process.

  • Auli EKMAN says:

For sure, I’d like to use this service, as I’d love to begin doing real business on-line. It’s juste the question of finances, how much should I invest for doing it? Thanks, Auli PS. I’m already a DOE member…

  • Juha Salakka says:

    Hi Charlie
Thanks for another great content. Just wanna to ask you, is optimize press from WP.com or WP.org ? WP.org has a hosting fee but you own the content what ever that is you putting there, and you have full control?
I don’t have website or blog my own but lot’s of LP’s for several different offers.

Ps. again great content as usually!

    Thanks Juha

    • Charlie Page says:

      Hi Juha,

Optimize Press is not from either WP.com or WP.org. It is a theme you can choose to use with WordPress once WordPress is installed. It is a paid theme.

If you have a hosted WordPress blog and use any theme, including Optimize Press, you will have full control of your content. That is one of the advantages to having your own hosted blog.

  • Dylan says:

    Hi Charlie,

I’d tried Optimize Press before but find that there involves some sort of programming and the training inside inside OP doesn’t help. Wanted to model a squeeze page in Leadpage but too complicated for me to work it out. I hired someone from Fivver to program the squeeze page instead.

If OP can be simpler like in leadpage then it would make more sense. No much time to learn too much programming…..

    • Charlie Page says:

      Hi Dylan,

Hiring someone is a great short term solution. Not practical if you create a lot of pages, but a good solution. Congratulations for taking action! Many get stuck and just stop.

Optimize Press does not require any sort of programming. The editor is completely visual (WYSIWYG) and quite easy to use now.

I use Optimize Press and LeadPages and find both easy to use.

  • Vasantha says:

I have some idea on the functionalities of OP from the FollowUp Selling System resource area
Still mulling if need to purchase to improve my landing page at my site.
With better understanding of the tool I would able to assess if this would assist in the setting up of my online business .
It will great if someone with your experience with the tool could guide and if the cost is affordable I would subscribe.
Does the vendor of the OP provide comprehensive tutorials with the purchase?

    • Charlie Page says:

Optimize Press creates very beautiful landing pages based on templates they provide. You customize the templates and end up with a beautiful product.

I have a lot of respect for the folks at Optimize Press and are friends with them. James (the owner) has been a friend for years and actually used to do design work before he developed Optimize Press.

So I want to be 100% clear that I am NOT saying their tutorials are not good.

But the people who read my ezine and buy my sites like the way I teach things, and I think there is room here for some very step-by-step teaching IF people need it.

  • Donna Davis says:

I love Optimize Press now, but it took me a while to understand and use. So I answered that OP was not easy to use. It’s easy for me now, but not in the beginning. I am so glad I took the time to learn it and I love the flexibility. Charlie, you are an excellent teacher, and I think if you decide to create a course on learning and maximizing OP, it would save a lot of people a lot of time. And Happy Thanksgiving!!

    • Charlie Page says:

Happy Thanksgiving to you Donna. Thank you for working with me. I consider it an honor. I too found Optimize Press hard to use in the old days but their new product is SO much better and easier to use.

I have discovered some powerful shortcuts for using Optimize Press, have taught them to my staff, and am now wondering if others need them too. Hence the post.

Always a pleasure to hear from you.

  • Gerald Begg says:

    Hi Charlie

I have completed your survey and no I do not own Optimize Press. I know you recommend it but I was unsure of how to proceed so any help provided would be appreciated.

    Best wishes

  • Bob Withers says:

I’ve been tempted to buy it on several occassions but always decided to try or stay with a cheaper alternative. However I would be interested in finally using it if I had some direction from an experienced user such as yourself. Can you please tell me what you believe to be the biggest single advantage for you of using OP. Thank you.

    • Charlie Page says:

It’s hard to limit myself to one single advantage. That said, I would say it’s that I can do everything I need to do with one product. I can blog, create squeeze pages, landing pages, teaching pages and membership sites all from within one install of Optimize Press.

      Appreciate your feedback.

  • Laverne says:

    I never used it

  • I remain IGNORANT! What is Optimize Press?
I have a great deal to learn from you Mr.Charlie Page.

  • Rob Jefferies says:

Charlie I have OP and am having trouble figuring it out, now I haven’t had a lot of time to play with it but would love any short cut you could offer! I have most of your courses now and love what you do, I just need to start implementing what I have learned from you.

Thanks for all you and your team do to help US

    • Charlie Page says:

Thanks Rob. I’m pretty sure I will be developing something for this based on the response. I appreciate your kind words.

What is giving you trouble in Optimize Press?

  • Luisa Drummond says:

    Hey Charlie,

Always happy to help you help us!
I didn’t answer the second question because I have not used Optimize Press before.

  • John says:

    Hi Charlie,

A couple of your questions didn’t apply to me because I’ve never purchased Optimize Press. I’m aware of Optimize Press and have read some of my colleagues pro’s and con’s about it; more pro’s however than cons.I’ve read that it’s multi-faceted so in my view that means it doesn’t leave anybody out regarding it’s uses.

It’s funny you bring this up now (the laws of the universe at work I guess) because I’m about to build my own website from scratch using a “state of the art” and robust blogging platform. I’m ashamed to admit that I’ve been a part of this awesome community AGAIN since this past September and I’m only on lesson three of a grand total of sixty lessons…UGH!

Charlie, as you’ve said, timing is everything andI’ll just say that I’ve let the “business of life” get the best of me for quite some time …but that’s history now. And I’d just like to let all of the good folks in Charlie’s Camp know that when I made a request for a customized Solo Ad for a program the turnaround was less than 24 hours!

And I wanted so bad to report back my results with it, However, by the time I got AROUND to it, the program went south; nothing lasts forever. What a hard pill and lesson to swallow. And I firmly believe that nobody knows Ezine Advertising like Charlie does, period! I’m sure that those of you who are members of the DOE like me already know that. Heck! his lead magnet alone for the DOE is equivalent to a full course.

In closing, I apologize for getting off track, I WILL send you, Charlie, feedback on one of my Solo Ads if it’s the last thing I do. And for those of you who have been loyal members in any of Charlie’s Memberships, and community for that matter, LISTEN to him. And build your website HERE (if you haven’t built one yet) with his guidance and full support you can’t go wrong….you won’t regret it.

    Many Blessings,

  • Val says:

I’ve heard good reports on Optimize Press! In this area, I think there are several worthwhile products and Optimize is one. The best product is the one used. Based on users’ reports, those who purchase it will, in all likelihood, be pleased. I have purchased and will not be purchasing at this time. Charlie, I purchased another product from you that consist of 3 packages but the area I would appreciate help is a suggested daily activity schedule. I am not clear on how to use/apply your 3 product package. And maybe it is incremental. Need to dot i’s and cross t’s but which ones, consistently? Thanks.

    • Charlie Page says:

      Hello Val,

I agree that the best product is the one that is used. Hope will be in touch with you about the Builder package today. We have a very clear path for how to use what you purchased, and she will be sharing that with you.

      I appreciate your business.

  • Joseph Mandell says:

    Hi Charlie,
I’m not comfortable leaving voice messages. Written messages can be edited. Not so for voiced messages.
Regarding Optimize Press. Not familiar with it. What kind of an app is it? From your introduction I thought it might be related to WordPress, which I have a “dummies book” on, but haven’t yet learned how to use it and what it’s capabilities are. So I’m sorry. I can’t help you with your survey since I know nothing about Optimize Press. However, knowing a bit about you, if you use it and like it, I would regard that as a very good and reliable recommendation! The very least, now I’ll have to “Google” it!
    Best Regards!

    • Charlie Page says:

Thank you Joseph. Optimize Press is a theme for WordPress, which is a blogging platform. No worries about the voicemail vs. written responses. We provide both for those who prefer one over the other.

  • Cornell K. Nicholson says:

Hi Charlie , I really like the way your newsletters are integrated with your blog. I have purchased CSBBP, CP and recently CSBB . My plan is to set up my home-based business using your courses and mentorship with my blog as my base , but, I’m starting with your turnkey products first because of being in bible school. How can I start a newletter for my new list for my email marketing business and have it be integrated into my blog when that is published? Thanks Charlie.

    • Charlie Page says:

Thank you for being a customer. I have information on how to integrate your blog into an email newsletter inside Common Sense Blog Blueprint. Look in there and if you have any questions don’t hesitate to ask.

  • John Antaya says:

I have been using Optimize Press for a little while now and find it easy to work with and giving me the results that I want anyway. Like everything else there is a learning curve but it is not a hard curve to maneuver. Personally I will recommend Optimize Press to anyone looking for a great product to use with their blogs.

    • Charlie Page says:

I agree – there is a learning curve to most anything but it’s worth it in most cases. Certainly in the case of Optimize Press. Thank you for your comment.

  • Randall Riley says:

    Hello Charlie.

I recently purchased your Business Builder Program and am still trying to absorb all the information contained within DOE & The Followup Selling System. I don’t know anything about OP but believe it is something I will need to learn.

    • Charlie Page says:

Thank you Randall. I appreciate your business. You will see some information about Optimize Press inside Follow Up Selling Systems. If you need any help with the sites just let us know.

  • Jay Garces Jr says:

I use it and really like it. But it does have a bit of a learning curve. I’m guessing that’s why a few alternatives have been popping up as of late claiming they’re easier. Still, I’m happy I made the decision to get it.

    • Charlie Page says:

There is a learning curve but it’s much less now than version 1.0. I’m happy you are a fellow Optimize Press user! Thank you for your comment.

  • Sheila LyonHall says:

    Charlie …
I did not answer Question 2 because I’ve never used Optimize Press. I’ve heard great comments about it but have never laid a finger on it. However, because I have limited tech skills, I’m certain I would need some level of help to navigate the learning curve. Who better than you? 🙂 Shalom!

  • Hi Charlie,
I took a course long time ago and I use the software but I don’t know if i have to subscribe to it again? I am scared to use the internet since I was scammed in June and got out of all my social media. All I have is email and Pinterest.

    • Charlie Page says:

You don’t need to subscribe to anything. If you used it once you should have a license that is still good. I’m so sorry about your begin scammed. It’s the worst part of being online.

  • Shane says:

    Hey Charlie,

I have been thinking about using Optimize press though I think its around $300 to purchase. Will you be creating tutorials of any kind for how to best use it?

    • Charlie Page says:

That is what I am trying to determine. If people need it I will do a course. OP is fantastic once you know it but the learning curve is steep. I can make it much easier (at least I believe I can) because we use it so much and know the shortcuts.

  • Michael says:

your poll, well, did not ask the correct questions, really!
Do you know what Optimize Press is? NO
Do you know that Optimize press does this, that and the other thing? NO
Did you know that Optimize press will (cook you dinner, change your oil, and make you rich)? NO
Charlie, you did not give me any reasons to buy it, much even tell me about it!
You just assumed that EVERYBODY knows about it! NOT the Case. I am focusing all my Internet Marketing efforts on the APP platform, BECAUSE we all know that Desktops and Static Websites are thing of the pass!
Charlie, I really expected a far better survey from you!

    • Charlie Page says:

Thank you for your comments. I appreciate your feedback but respectfully disagree with your last point. Websites are far from dead, as evidenced by the fact that you took time to include your website in your reply.

Also, just to be 100% clear, I’m not asking you to buy anything. I am taking a poll to see if there is a need.

Michael, I really expected a far kinder response from you! 🙂

  • Grace says:

    Hi Charlie,

Have just completed the following programs:
    – CS Success Roadmap
    – Curation Power &
    – CS List Building
I’m about to start Follow Up Selling …

Acquiring all this foundational knowledge is great & I really value your mentorship in all of these learnings …

What I really need is an “Idiot’s Guide on How to Get Started Without Overwhelm” … from all this knowledge! The more I learn, the more I realize how little I know … and that’s a scary place to be!

Once again … many thanks for your Mentorship. Greatly appreciated.

    Regards, Dave Colling

    • Charlie Page says:

      Hi Dave,

I’m working on a plan and review for you right now. Hope was out for a while so I was doing her job and my own work but I’m digging out now. I will be in touch with you by private email with details very soon.
