As we enter a new year we are almost all thinking the same thing; will we see the economy turn around in 2012 or will we suffer through yet another year of turmoil?

More to the point, we are all asking this question — will 2012 be a boom year or a bust for me?

People are hurting today, and being hurt. You might be one of them.

Today, perhaps more than ever before, people need to make money online. And yet, ironically, there are more liars and thieves online today than ever before. Not so ironic really when you consider that con men and charlatans have always preyed on those most in need.

Three steps to happiness

How often do you look at your success story? If you are like most people, it’s not often enough!

We all have a success story you know.

Even if you have been cheated, abused, ripped off and worse, you have success stories to tell. The key is to not let your low points overwhelm your high points and make you feel like you are failing.

For example, most people who want to make money online have spent plenty but have never made a single dime online. Does this mean they should give up? Never!

But it can be discouraging and that discouragement needs to be chased away. You do not have to live with discouragement!

Happily, there is a sure cure for discouragement. I discovered the cure many years ago and use it every day. While I have faced many a hard day (death of my brother, both my parents and other countless challenges) applying this simple technique keeps me looking up and looking forward every day … regardless of how tired I am or how many challenges I face.

Tame the Email Monster

Remember the first time you sent an email? At first email was fun, new, exciting. “I’ll EMAIL it to you”, we said to one another, wanting to be efficient and up to the moment. We understood technology. We got it. We had email. It was fast, free and let us stay in touch with friends and family across the globe.

Fast forward to today and you find a completely different picture. Today many of us are drowning in email. We get more and more spam (not the fine Hormel product) every day.  We see super-cool sites we want to know more about so we sign up to get the freebie and then the emails start.

Our inboxes are jammed with forwards from “friends” with jokes and unwanted solicitations to buy all manner of stuff —  all mixed in with the email we DO want!

This has created a situation where it’s not uncommon to get hundreds of emails a day. We lose time. We lose focus. We become overwhelmed with the volume and soon can’t separate the good stuff from the pitches.

Happily, there is an easy solution. One I’ve done and it set me free! I call it “taming the email monster”. If you want more time and less stress then this is for you!

Get Your Focus Back!

As of this writing I’ve been honored to speak one-on-one with over 2400 Directory of Ezines Lifetime members. I’ve been taking these calls for 2 1/2 years and it’s been fun to help real people achieve their goals.

During these calls members have been free to ask me any question and they have asked many questions.

But there is one question I asked every one of them, and their answers surprised me.

My question to them — “What is your #1 challenge to succeeding online?”

While I received a variety of answers, the #1 answer by far is this … “I’m suffering from information overload! I bought the courses and products and still don’t know what to do next!”

It’s understandable really. There is SO much information out there. From free information on blogs and in articles to courses ranging from $27 to $7500 (or more) there is no lack of information.

So why isn’t everyone succeeding online?

Today Is Your Day!

Every day I hear from people who are struggling to make money online. They bought the programs and listened to the advice but are still coming up short.

These are good people, real people, who have been beaten down by the hyped-up websites that promise them near-instant riches if they will only “join now”.

They are discouraged and are left to wonder if all online marketers simply lie to make money and don’t care at all about their customers.

A Time To Be Thankful

thanksPeople are funny creatures. We can be greedy and impatient one day, kind and considerate the next.

And always we are unendingly complicated.

Take being thankful for example. Many cultures dedicate a day to thankfulness. In America we have an actual holiday dedicated just to expressing thankfulness.

Many reading these words right now dream of quitting their job and working at home. Some dream of having a home of their own. Some don’t dream any more.
