Never Surrender Your Dreams by Charlie Page

Never Surrender Your Dream

Do you have a dream today? Can you see yourself in one year, three years, ten years?

Far from some pie-in-the-sky hype, dreams are the currency of the Internet.

Many reading these words right now dream of quitting their job and working at home. Some dream of having a home of their own. Some don’t dream any more.

My friend, your dream is your roadmap. Without it how will you know where you are going?

Recent events have driven home the fact that life is short indeed. Too short to spend it working at a job we don’t love.

Listen to these words by Brian Tracy

“All successful people men and women are big dreamers. They imagine what their future could be, ideal in every respect, and then they work every day toward their distant vision, that goal or purpose”. – Brian Tracy

If you were my brother or sister, this is what I would say to you.

You must have a dream to make a dream come true.

And you must never surrender your dream.

If you are like most people you will spend more time working than doing any other activity. Yet, many don’t like their work.

Can you do what you love for a living? Can you find the joy that comes when you WANT to go to work? Here’s how to find out.

Allow me to share with you the five steps I used to make my dream come true on the Internet. And let me encourage you to take these steps in your life today. Time is fleeting. Begin now.

  1. Realize that the Internet really has changed things. Jobs exist today that didn’t five years ago.
  2. Know yourself. What do you REALLY want? Spend some time with yourself and wave the magic wand. If you could do anything, if money wasn’t a factor, what would you do? Keep asking until you find an answer.
  3. Research your answers. You will be shocked to discover the career possibilities online. Pick your favorite search engine, start a bookmark folder just for this, and find everything you can about your passion.
  4. Be willing to start small. You may only be able to commit a few hours at night to your new field because you have to feed the family. That’s OK. Time is your ally. And time will prove if your idea will work.

Jobs like being a virtual assistant, a net researcher, or doing graphic art for e-Books exist today because of innovative thinkers who found their passion. Find your passion. Don’t stop until you find (or create) that type of work that both makes you happy and pays the bills. Who knows, YOU might be the innovator who creates the next online industry.

Winston Churchill said “The nose of the bulldog has been slanted backward so it can breathe without letting go.”

When it comes to our dreams we need to be like the bulldog. We must never surrender our dreams.

Your article has reminded of my dream and how vital it is to keep in mind and continue to work towards it. Thanks Charlie – I always enjoy reading whatever you send, and love the way you present everything in such an easy to understand, down-to-earth manner.
I am truly thankful to be part of what you stand for.

  5. I agree with Mr. Page never give up on your dreams because when you do, you have nothing that drives you forward. So many people settle for so little when right in front of them or just around the corner is there dream.

What I mean by this is this.

If I had of given up after I had failed over 500 times trying to figure out the search engines my limo company back in 1999 would of never became a FIVE STAR LIMOUSINE COMPANY and today I would not be the person I am SO I BEG YOU, if your reading this right now DON’T EVER GIVE UP ON YOUR DREAMS.

  13. This is a great article. I really enjoy the points mentioned. I agree that in this life we should never sacrifice our dreams. At a graduation I attended recently, they issued books out to the graduates. One of the books were What Makes You Great? by Tasha Hoggatt. This was really an inspiring book. Hope you get a chance to read it.

  19. Hi Charlie,
“You must have a dream to make a dream come true.”
Reminds me of a line from “Happy Talk”, a somg from the musical “South Pacific”
“You’ve got to have a dream, if you don’t have a dream,
How you goona make a dream come true?”

I wonder if Oscar Hammerstein was an internet marketer?

“And you must never surrender your dream.”
Sounds like my Ezine article: “We shall never surrender!” – this was my most viewed article, on!&id=228326

Great minds think alike, Charlie? (even though Winston said it first!

  20. This is great Charlie; I love the things you write and the courses I have taken this reminds me of the books I am reading (again) Think & Grow Rich, by Napoleon Hill & The Power of Discipline by Brian Tracy both of which have a step by step that I am following. Your article to me shows that this can be done with the internet to follow the dream, make a goal, & a plan & follow it. Thanks it confirms my Plan.
    Thank You
