When you get stuck, do this

Happy Thursday! I love Thursdays because it's a day when sales happen on autopilot in our world.

Gotta love automation.

I've been looking over my notes lately and noticing a LOT of people using the "s" word.

No, not that one. 

I'm talking about being STUCK.

Listen, we all get stuck. I know major business people who get stuck all the time. And I know newbies who get stuck.

It happens to us all. Me included.

The key is this ... SHRINK the time you are stuck and things get better fast.

In other words, REFUSE to stay stuck!

If you are stuck right now, here are two things you can do that really work.

1. Hire someone to do the work for you AND learn from the process.

Notice the and, because it's important. Don't work with someone who is so protective they won't reveal their process.

Work with people who will get you started AND help you learn to repeat the process on your own. 

If you do that, over time you will learn to create great squeeze pages, write great blog posts, know what to say to your lists, how to build that list in the first place, and much more. 

This is how I teach and my customers love it. Or so they tell me. 

2. Here is a surefire way to get unstuck when nothing is working. It's subtle but very effective.

When nothing is working go back to the last thing that worked and do that thing again!

This is SUCH common sense. I've used this in so many areas of life.

My prayer life, by business, relationships with friends, and much more. 

Over the years, I have heard 1000 times the statement that "I did _____ but then I started doing ____ instead."

  • Some people tried solo ads and then moved to CPV.
  • Some tried pay per click and then moved to Facebook.
  • Some people tried blogging and moved to podcasting.

In almost every case, what they were doing worked! They just stopped for some reason. 

If that's you, consider going back and doing what worked last

The truth is that running a successful online business is NOT about learning new stuff every day.

Learning is fun. I'm on a MAJOR learning kick right now. (More about that in another email)

But I can afford to take time to experiment for one reason. 

I took my own advice and went back to what worked when I was stuck. I got unstuck and am determined to stay that way. 

And being unstuck is a beautiful thing indeed! 🙂
